Anita Smith

Treatment Focus:

Specializes in individuals, couples and families, missionary care, TCK issues, transitions, repatriation, adoption, parenting, women’s issues, grief and loss, using CBT and trauma-informed care.

Bio:

Anita has been with Christian Family Solutions since 2012. She took a three-year leave of absence to move to Asia with her husband serving as a missionary.

Anita received her BA in Elementary Education for Concordia University, Chicago and her MS in Counseling from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She has over 20 years of teaching experience with multiple age groups and in many settings. She has 18 years of counseling experience working with children, families, women and college students. Anita is trained in Prepare and Enrich as well as adoption competent counseling. In addition to her clinical work, she has served on the Minnesota State Board for Adoption Competent Counseling and has taught adjunct at Bethany Lutheran College and Asia Lutheran Seminary.
