Your gift has immediate impact during this mental health crisis.
Here’s how your gifts help us meet the demand for services:
Meet the urgent need for care: The average wait time for mental health care nationwide is 3-6 months. We are reducing our appointment wait times by hiring more Christian clinicians to handle the client load. Your donations, prayers, and recommendations help us recruit and train more professional soul care providers.
Offer help for more acute conditions: People are coming to us with more serious conditions, requiring a “higher dose” of care than weekly outpatient counseling provides. Your donations help us invest in and develop programs that provide a higher level of care, such as intensive outpatient programs and day treatment, especially for underserved populations.
Help children and teens at risk: A 2021 report by the U.S. Surgeon General says the mental health of our youth is a significant public health challenge that needs immediate awareness and action. This is true based on calls we are receiving. Our donors help us recruit and train more school-based counselors who can build trust with students and families while working in schools. Donors also help defray the costs for screenings and initial visits so children and teens can access help sooner. Give to the 10,000 Hours campaign for youth counseling >>
Support Christian congregations: Of every 100 adults in a congregation, 26 will have a diagnosable mental health issue. When conditions escalate beyond pastoral counseling, pastors need a trusted resource to which they can refer for Christian care. Our donors help cover the costs of our Member Assistance Program, a partnership with congregations to deliver care to individuals who are referred to us by a pastor. This covers immediate care, before any use of insurance or private pay for services.
