Treatment Focus:

Areas of clinical focus include anxiety, depression, ADHD, childhood trauma, grief/loss, adjustment, and stress management. Michayla primarily focuses on children, adolescents, and young adults ages 5-30.

Bio:

Michayla joined Christian Family Solutions in early 2021 as an undergraduate intern at the STRONG Milwaukee center. After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wisconsin Lutheran College, she transitioned into a role as a Mental Health Support Specialist in the STRONG program. In the summer of 2024, she graduated with a Master’s degree from Aurora University’s School of Social Work, and she is now a licensed Advanced Practice Social Worker.

Michayla’s clinical expertise includes depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, anger management, and stress management. She uses an integrative approach to address each client’s unique needs, incorporating various therapeutic modalities such as Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), play therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Brief Solution-Focused Therapy. Michayla values the integration of Christian faith within the therapeutic process and aims to foster hope and resilience through faith-based interventions.
