Specializes in child, adolescent, and family services, behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, depression, trauma and stressor-related disorders, and anxiety disorders. Sharayah also specializes in working with individuals who have disabilities (physical, learning, and cognitive) and their families. She is passionate about developing long-term coping skills for her clients using art and a variety of creative approaches.
Sharayah obtained her BFA in Painting and Illustration from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a dual focus in psychology. She then proceeded to explore art therapy as a diverse avenue to provide healing and self-exploration to others in the therapeutic field. She received her MS in Art Therapy from Mount Mary University in 2014.
Prior to joining Christian Family Solutions, Sharayah provided in-home behavioral therapy services for children and families. She also has past experience providing counseling art therapy services to individuals in residential treatment, intensive outpatient programs, day treatment, and community art therapy settings. During her time with CFS, Sharayah has provided group, family, and individual counseling within the child and adolescent day treatment programs of STRONG and ARMOR, in addition to outpatient counseling.
Sharayah is passionate about incorporating faith, art, and creative approaches in therapeutic treatment to help children and adolescents accomplish their goals. She loves offering her clients opportunities to engage with counseling through hands-on approaches that build on their strengths and creativity.
