Specializes in working with adults in the areas of anxiety, depression, loss, separation, retirement, resocialization from injury or illness, relocation, job loss, and marriage and family issues. Also specializes in working with members of the military and their families, and working with clients through transitions/adjustment in life stages.
Patti joined Christian Family Solutions in 2017. She earned her BS in Social Work from the University of WI–La Crosse, and her Master’s in Social Work from the University of WI–Madison, WI. Patti was a “home mom” for 20 years with their six children before reviving her degrees and renewing her passion in social work. She has worked as a therapist with all age groups from 6 to 96 and individuals, couples, and families.
Prior to joining Christian Family Solutions, Patti did her graduate internship with Hazelden Drug Treatment Center, worked with Elder Care Services, served in the Emergency Room at Mayo Health Systems–Mankato, was a Social Worker Specialist at the Community Behavioral Health Hospital with St. Peter Regional Treatment Center, taught online Human Services classes for Kaplan University for nine years, taught Sociology and was the Coordinator of Student Counseling Services with Bethany Lutheran College for nine years, and worked as a Mental Health Therapist at an area mental health center.
Patti’s approach to counseling begins with a positive and empathetic relationship, incorporating techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, and supportive counseling.
Patti knows that it is a blessing and a privilege to be able to work with her clients through their concerns, and respects and praises each individual who comes for counseling services.
