Jonathan works well with both couples and individual clients, both children and adults, dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, suicide risk, parenting issues, communication struggles and career counseling.
Jonathan joined Christian Family Solutions (CFS) as a student intern in September 2022. Prior to joining CFS Jonathan interned at Serenity Wellness and Counseling Center and West Oaks Hospital in Houston, TX. Jonathan served as a pastor in the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod from 1997-2021. In December 2022, Jonathan received a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Houston Christian University (formerly Houston Baptist University).

The modalities and interventions that Jonathan employs are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Jonathan’s primary counseling philosophy is person-centered theory. He is eager to assist and guide clients to make positive changes in their lives. He incorporates active listening and is understanding and non-judgmental. He is ready to help his clients navigate through the challenges of their life.
Jonathan is supervised by Emily Head, LPC-S.
