John joined CFS in August 2022. Prior to joining CFS, he worked for 7 years at Acute Psychiatric and Medical psychiatric units, at Mayo Clinic Rochester, Minnesota. John also has worked at Bluestem Center for Child and Family Development with adolescents and adults with mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, ODD, psychotic, and bipolar disorders. He is a big proponent of dual therapy with psychotherapy and psychopharmacological intervention. His personal clinical philosophy is Person First, which is a clinical philosophy that recognizes the person in the patient and seeks to help resolve the patient's clinical presentations.
John received a Associate in Applied Science from St. Paul College St. Paul MN, Associate in Arts and Associate in Science from Century College, White Bear Lake MN and Bachelor’s degree in nursing and a minor in psychology, with honors, Bachelor’s degree in nursing and a minor in psychology, with honors, from Presentation College Aberdeen, South Dakota in 2014. Obtained a Psychiatry and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner doctorate degree from The College of Saint Scholastica Duluth Minnesota in 2020. Prior to obtaining his doctorate.
