Specializes in adoption and foster care related challenges, specifically attachment and trauma. Particular interest include child development, brain science, complex medical diagnoses, and the therapeutic use of play.

Bio:

Bethany joined the STRONG intensive outpatient program with Christian Family Solutions as a graduate intern in the summer of 2022. She graduated with a master's degree from Aurora University's School of Social Work in Spring 2023. Bethany obtained her Advanced Practice Social Work License in August 2024 and currently works in the school-based counseling program for Kettle Moraine High School. Additionally, she provides outpatient therapy in Germantown, WI.

Bethany received her bachelor's degree from Concordia University in 2004 in Elementary Education with an emphasis on middle school and science. Since 2019, she has regularly volunteered as a presenter for adoptive and foster parent state-required trainings on the topics of adoptive parenting and trauma and attachment.

Before joining Christian Family Solutions, Bethany offered support and encouragement to adoptive and foster parents through the Journey Partner program with the Coalition for Children, Youth, and Family. She also completed an internship offering counseling and therapy for youth and adults at a small private practice in Cedarburg, WI.

Bethany holds the C.A.S.E. Training for Adoption Competency (TAC) certificate.
