Trauma, attachment, anxiety, and depression
Ben began his internship at Christian Family Solutions in the spring of 2026. He is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, Minnesota. He also holds a Master of Divinity from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts from Martin Luther College.
Ben has served as a pastor for more than fifteen years. Through his pastoral ministry, he observed that many individuals struggle to connect deeply with God and others because of unaddressed trauma, grief, and emotional pain. These experiences led him to pursue formal counseling training so he could better support individuals in finding healing, hope, and lasting meaning as they grow in their relationship with Christ.
Ben values an evidence-based approach to Christian counseling that respects each client’s dignity, background, and autonomy. His approach is client-centered and attentive to each person’s unique story, helping individuals develop new insights and healthier patterns that support emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being.
He believes resilience, growth, and meaningful healing are possible for every person. Ben seeks to create a safe and compassionate environment where clients can explore their experiences and move toward hope and renewal.
Ben is supervised by Dr. Rachel Miller.
