Each time there is fear, it is because of an “I”. I believe I have to do it all, or I have to manage it all. I think I can control things, or I have to know how things should go. I feel overwhelmed because I can’t possibly live up to expectations I have created. Irrational beliefs can really create problems, but how do we reduce them or even notice them in the first place? This presentation will provide exercises to help uncover ways to work with fear and anxieties as well as provide opportunity to rely on God’s promises.

Living with a mental health condition can be very difficult; living with a person with a mental health condition is also very challenging. Whether diagnosed, in treatment, or just exhibiting signs and symptoms, family and friends often want to help their loved one but encounter challenges that make them feel incapable or overwhelmed. Many lack information about mental health conditions and struggle to understand what their loved one experiences. Participants in this seminar will benefit from symptom education, tools for proper boundaries, and a better understanding of how to care for themselves in order to better care for others.
