The presence of this addiction is disruptive, not only to those struggling with it, but it often deeply impacts those closest in their lives. Learn ways to lovingly and productively engage, communicate, and establish boundaries with a loved one struggling with addiction.

Internet Pornography and Addiction

The growth of the Internet pornography industry over the past decade can only be described as astonishing. Without surprise, this growth is in response to a marked increase in people expressing interest in accessing it. This presentation will discuss factors leading so many individuals to access it, along with reasons why some individuals seemingly become “addicted” to it. The addiction presentation will review warning signs and characteristics of individuals struggling with these patterns, and will conclude with a discussion of strategies known to help individuals obtain better control over their Internet pornography use.

Problem Gambling in Older Adults

This presentation will review various reasons why older adults are susceptible to gambling problems. In addition, it will briefly review several strategies to help reduce the risk of developing future gambling difficulties. The presentation will consist of a lecture format, including a PowerPoint slide show. In addition, the seminar may include small group discussions and opportunities for question and answer.
