Many adults and teens face increased pressure and challenges today, and skills groups provide individuals with the skills needed to cope effectively with their emotions, problem-solve, and make healthy decisions. Groups are effective because they complement one-on-one outpatient counseling and give individuals the opportunity to discuss and practice skills in a safe and structured setting.
Adult Groups
Intended for adults ages 18+, who need additional support beyond regular outpatient counseling. Clients are typically referred by their outpatient counselor.
Teen Groups
These programs are comprehensive, trauma-informed, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-inspired programs for adolescents ages 14-18 for the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma, and other mental health disorders.
Clients who are not making progress in outpatient counseling alone will see improvement with the addition of an outpatient skills group such as those described here. For individuals who need a higher level of care, please inquire about our Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) appropriate for those with escalating symptoms who wish to prevent hospitalization, or those stepping down after hospitalization.
This group meets via Video Telehealth for the convenience and comfort of those participating. It is intended for adults needing mental wellness education and support, as an extension or add on to outpatient care.
