Teresa joined Christian Family Solutions in June 2020. She attended Cardinal Stritch University, where she completed her BS in Psychology and then received her MA at Marquette University in Community Counseling, specializing in working with children and adolescents. Teresa has over 20 years of experience working with children and adolescents ranging in ages between 4-18 as well as working with adults. She has worked in various settings and populations including in-home therapy, outpatient therapy, juvenile justice, residential treatment and day treatment clinics.
Teresa takes a strength-based approach, focusing on family systems and cognitive-behavioral strategies to build a positive therapeutic relationship in which the clients feel supported and their strengths utilized. She enjoys helping children who have experienced adverse childhood experiences along with behavioral and mental health illnesses.
