Shay joined Christian Family Solutions as a Counseling Intern in 2021. She earned her BS in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh (UWO). Her Master of Social Work program will be complete in May 2022.
Through her clinical training, Shay has worked with children with autism, emotional/behavioral disorders, intellectual disabilities, trauma, and coping related to grief and bereavement. Along with her clinical training, she has received a Substance Abuse Counseling certificate of education. Shay believes in taking a collaborative, strengths-based approach to therapy to achieve client goals. She understands that many times, the client’s family of origin and environment play a role in their treatment. Shay ensures sessions are a space to express thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment.
