Seonhwa joined Christian Family Solutions in 2018. She was a family therapist in Seoul, South Korea until she moved to Rochester, NY in 2007. She received her MS in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Rochester and her PhD in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Georgia.
With her cross-cultural educational and clinical experiences, she takes a systemic approach to understanding individuals and families in the broad context, including social and cultural environments. She is focused on developing collaborative relationships with her clients and helping them utilize their own strength and resources in managing their life challenges.
Seonhwa also taught Couple Relationships as an associate lecturer at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
