Sarah joined Christian Family Solutions in August 2018. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Boise State University and her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from South Alabama University, where she specialized as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Sarah has eight years of inpatient hospital experience as a registered nurse (RN) in obstetrics, surgery, and the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). During this time, she was on the bereavement team and worked alongside refugee patients.
Sarah’s primary role as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) entails diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of mental health conditions. Her role in the treatment team primarily encompasses prescription of medications, monitoring of lab values and possible side effects, as well as response to those medications. Sarah collaborates with counselors at Christian Family Solutions as well as other health care providers to coordinate care. Sarah is licensed to serve clients in rural areas via telehealth (secure video connection) in the state of Minnesota.
