Bio:

Melissa joined Christian Family Solutions in 2018. She earned her BS in psychology and sport and exercise science at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, WI. She completed her graduate training and earned her MSW from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.

 

Melissa holds certification in Trauma-Informed Care and C.A.S.E.’s Adoption Competency. She also is trained in Brainspotting by its developer, David Grand, PhD. Brainspotting is a modality used for processing anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment issues, and much more. Melissa believes in the importance of integrating the brain and body, as we are all unique within our life experiences, neurobiology, and processing.

 

Melissa focuses on counseling adolescents and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, life adjustments, grief and loss, adoption, and trauma. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength- Based/Solution-Focused Therapy, and Brainspotting. She feels incredibly blessed to be working with amazing children of God and is grateful to assist individuals on their life journeys.
