Darren Tungsvik joined the Christian Family Solutions staff in June 2016 and provides psychotherapy to clients who have committed sexual-related offenses. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2009, and a Master of Social Work in 2013 from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Darren completed an internship at the Minnesota Sex Offender Program, providing group and individual psychotherapy for sexual offenders. Darren has worked on both Mobile Crisis teams and in Residential Crisis programs, providing crisis-related services for individuals and families experiencing mental health challenges.
Darren also has experience facilitating individual and group sessions related to managing mental health crises, specifically utilizing distress tolerance techniques, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) skills.
