Christian Family Solutions offers treatment program to help those with gambling addiction
Minnesota grant program removes financial barrier
MANKATO, MN— Christian Family Solutions (CFS) has received a grant from the Minnesota Department of Human Services to provide treatment services to Minnesota residents struggling with gambling addiction. CFS will offer assessments and treatment services in the form of counseling and related support.
“Our partnership with Minnesota DHS removes one of the biggest barriers to treatment,” says Deanna Staples, MS, LADC, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and certified gambling treatment provider. “This grant will cover treatment services that are not covered by health insurance. A member of our team will be able to help you receive low or no cost treatment”.
CFS will offer these services in person at its Mankato location at 44 Good Counsel Drive, and through telehealth. The CFS Mankato location offers outpatient mental health counseling as well as more intensive mental health treatment for adults and teens.
With limited counseling resources for residents needing support for gambling in southern Minnesota, CFS was intentionally identified by the state of Minnesota to serve those living in rural communities who need treatment but can’t afford it. “Clients of all ages struggle with gambling addictions,” Staples says.
