The Bradley Foundation Continues Support of the Milwaukee Student Assistance Program

October 3, 2016 (Germantown, WI)—WLCFS-Christian Family Solutions is thrilled to announce that the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation has again awarded our Student Assistance Program a grant for $25,000. The Bradley Foundation has generously sponsored this program since 2013. The purpose of the grant is to provide counseling services on-site at schools in Milwaukee that participate in the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program (MPCP). Recognizing the critical need for counseling in the schools, the Bradley Foundation granted our request so students in the elementary school and high school levels can be supported and ultimately reach their educational goals.

Whitney Donovan, LPC, Urban School Program Coordinator at WLCFS, says, “We are extremely grateful to be receiving a grant again this year from the Bradley Foundation. Largely due to the support of the Bradley Foundation, we can provide professional counseling on-site in Milwaukee’s urban schools. With counseling easily accessible to students, they are able to receive the help they need to reach their full academic and personal goals.”

The funds from this gift will be combined with other donations and grants and used to support counseling services currently being offered on-site at MPCP schools. Since 2008, this program has provided critical services to over 1,900 students.
