Mr. Matt Burow

Mr. Burow is the president of Catalyst Construction, and has served on the WLCFS Board of Directors since 2012. Matt is a native of Wisconsin and graduated from the Milwaukee School of Engineering with a BS in Construction Management. He is currently active as a construction mentor at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, Big Brothers Big Sisters, facilitates at Shepherd of the Hills in Pewaukee, and is a member of ICSC and Associated General Contractors of America. Matt and his wife, Jodi, have three children. They are members at Crown of Life, Hubertus, WI.

Mr. Allen Heckendorf

Mr. Heckendorf has served on the WLCFS Board of Directors since 1986. He is also a Financial Advisor and Registered Representative with Principal Financial Group in Milwaukee, WI. Prior to being with Principal, Mr. Heckendorf was a teacher and a district representative with Aid Association for Lutherans (now Thrivent). In addition to his service to WLCFS, Mr. Heckendorf also is the Development Director for the Wisconsin Business Center and serves on boards within his church and with Wisconsin Lutheran Institutional Ministries. He and his wife, Bee, have three grown children. They are members of Calvary, Thiensville, WI.

Pastor James Kleist, Chairman 

Pastor Kleist has served on the WLCFS Board of Directors since 1986. He is currently the Executive Director of the WLHS Foundation, Inc., at Wisconsin Lutheran High School (WISCO), and prior to that was Superintendent at WISCO. Before serving at WISCO, Pastor Kleist was called to St. Paul's, Cudahy, WI and St. Stephen's, Beaver Dam, WI. He and his wife, Jody, are the parents of five children and have five grandchildren. They are members of St. Marcus, Milwaukee, WI.

Mr. Thomas Schermerhorn

Mr. Schermerhorn has served on the WLCFS Board of Directors since 2012. He is a Principal at Excel Engineering in Fond du Lac, WI. Mr. Schermerhorn is a registered architect and registered professional engineer, and more than 70% of the work he does as an architect is for non-profit Christian organizations and churches. He and his wife, Chris, have three grown children, and are members of Faith in Fond du Lac, WI, where he serves on the Church Council, Board of Elders, District Elders and the Nominating Committee.

Pastor Philip Schupmann

Pastor Schupmann has served on the WLCFS Board of Directors since 2001. He also serves as pastor of Resurrection, Aurora, IL. In addition to serving WLCFS, Pastor Schupmann has also served as a circuit pastor in the Chicago Conference for the past 23 years, and has served as the past Pastor Chairman of the Lutheran Heritage Hour and past Chairman of WELS Committee on Relief. He and his wife, Sara, have six grown children.

Pastor Jeffrey Seelow

Pastor Seelow has served on the WLCFS Board of Directors since 1996. He also serves as pastor of Redeemer, Rice Lake, WI. Prior to serving in Rice Lake, Pastor Seelow served congregations in Ohio and Wisconsin. In addition to serving WLCFS, he is also the Circuit Pastor of the Chippewa River Valley Conference of the Western Wisconsin District. He and his wife, Peggy, have three grown children.

Mr. Jody Hansen

Mr. Hansen joined the WLCFS Board of Directors in 2013. He is the Business Manager at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School and has been Treasurer of the KMLHS Foundation since 2008. Prior to KMLHS, he was Vice President of Hansen’s Piggly Wiggly grocery stores, which served our local communities with four locations. He and his wife, Amy, have one son and are members of David’s Star, Jackson, WI.

Mr. Brad Michel

Mr. Michel began his service to the WLCFS Board of Directors in 2014. Brad is a graduate of UW-Milwaukee and is a sales manager with GE Healthcare. He serves his church as a New Member Presenter and a Boy Pioneer leader. WLCFS has had a tremendous impact on Brad’s life, and he looks forward to giving back to an organization that has given so much to him. Brad and his wife, Nan, reside in Germantown with their five boys and are members of Bethlehem, Menomonee Falls, WI.

Mr. Rod Winter

Mr. Winter has served on the WLCFS Board of Directors since 2017. He is a business executive and entrepreneur from southeastern Wisconsin, providing leadership and management advisory services for primarily middle-market industrial companies. Mr. Winter earned both his BBA in Accounting and his MBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He is a member at Christ Lutheran Church and Preschool in Pewaukee, WI where he serves as President on the Board of Directors. He and his wife, Cheryl, have two grown children.
